How does a 2003 Chevrolet S10 OEM security system work?
I can't find anything in the owners manual or web.
It has the security light that flashes in the dash, and it turns off when the truck is started.
Someone told me that the alarm only triggers if the door is openned from the inside handle while its armed. Is that right?
I would like to find out how to use it right.
I am here in Dayton where S-10 trucks are built.
The alarm is actually pretty clever.
The genius engineers at GM knew that the truck was such a total piece of junk that nobody in their right mind would steal it so they put in a little flashing light on the dashboard, so stupid people who got tricked into buying one would spend all their time wondering about the alarm and not notice that their front suspension had collapsed. Clever, huh?
