im a first time car owner and a girl would like to know if this car is good
Yep, it's a great car. I've had several 156s and they have all been fine. The 2.0 twin spark engine pulls like a train and sounds just fantastic. Make sure the cambelt has been changed recently (not a cheap job if you have to pay for it), and stay away from anything with a Selespeed semi-automatic gearbox (they are very jerky at low speeds, and are prone to failing).
I'd check insurance if this is your first car, as Alfas tend to be a bit on the steep side when it comes to premiums. Your best bet is as late a model as possible, with full service history and a manual gearbox. Go for it, you aren't a true car nut until you've owned an Alfa!
